Lakes and national forest
Lots near Lake Hiwassee and Lake Chatuge bring shoreline questions; forest-edge parcels bring trees, slope and access to plan around. Review the site with your builder before finalizing a plan.
Murphy & Franklin · Service area
Home packages for the far western mountains: Murphy and Franklin.
In the far western corner of the state, Murphy, Franklin, Hayesville and Andrews sit among the Nantahala National Forest and mountain lakes such as Hiwassee and Chatuge. It is quieter country with room for cabins, homes and land.
Room to spread out
Larger parcels here suit a main home with a shop, barn or guest cabin. Many buyers also plan a getaway cabin near the lakes.
